Smoked salmon can be enjoyed for up to 4 years if the vacuum seal has not been broken and the package has not been exposed to extreme temperatures.  Store in a cool, dry place.  Do not consume if you have any doubts concerning the integrity of the packaging.


Once one of the vacuum sealed pouches is opened it is safe to eat the salmon for the next 7 days but keep the salmon refrigerated between meals or snacks.

    At SEASOFT SCUBA we have many clients and customers who are members of the various West Salish tribes of Native Americans, the original inhabitants of the Pacific Northwest.

    We have become good friends over the years and this has led to this wonderful opportunity.  A couple of our native friends have offered us a limited supply of fresh, wild caught, Pacific salmon that have been freshly caught and never frozen.

    They clean these fish, de-boned them and fillet them by hand, usually within hours of having caught them.

    The salmon fillets are then cut into smoking strips and put into a special brine from a recipe that has been passed down from generation to generation.  The fillets are left in this brine for 14 to 18 hours.

    NOW, these salmon fillet strips are slow smoked on thin Western Red Cedar planks in a cedar smokehouse for 12 - 14 hours using only aged, sweet Applewood.

    They don't use propane, natural gas, accidic woods, steel shelves or steel hooks.  Nothing has changed for these Coast Salish fisherman and their families for hundreds of years.  They still eat the same incredibly delicious, naturally mouth-watering smoked salmon and so can you.  Your ONE lb. box of SEASOFT NORTHWEST WILD CAUGHT SMOKED SALMON has two bags of 8 oz. of smoked salmon nesting on a real Western Red Cedar plank.
